WECANB stands for Women Experts in Current Affairs News and Broadcasting.
This is a global initiative started in the city of Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha in India, with a focus on Odisha based media to make the public sphere more gender inclusive by having more women experts from diverse academic fields, industry and community practices contributing to inform and enrich the standard of public discourses through media platforms, and there by shape and inspire public policy making for inclusive, positive and sustainable social change.
